Questions and answers of the customers

Is this IRSS 18LPT-2P a zero clearance application? I would like to mount it to the wall but I don't see any installation instructions here so I don't know what it any clearances are required. Is the backside where you would mount it insulated to prevent heat transfer? I plan on installing it in one of our bedrooms that is at the end of a long duct work run off a forced air furnace, so it would be a secondary heatsource. Does it emit any oders when it is burning?

  2. Question about the thermostat. Our insurance company would not insure our seasonal cottage with its current wall infrared heater, which just has three settings for the burners, low, med, hi. They said they required a unit with a thermostat. Your unit says it has one, but the photo only shows 5 settings, where a normal thermostat would have temperatures listed on it. Is it a true thermostat, that turns the main flame on and off? Or does it just set one of the levels, 1-5 and leave it there? This needs to be precisely answered, so I can see if it will meet the insurance qualifications. Thanks.
